When do the meal plans expire?
Click Enter to see the detailsIf your campus has Residential Mandatory Meal Plans, they expire on the last day of the academic year. The Flex dollars that come with these meal plans roll over from Fall semester to Spring semester but expire at the end of the Spring semester. Voluntary Meal Plans and Dining Dollars carry over from year to year as long as you are active on a University of Maine Campus.
How soon after signing up for a meal plan am I able to use my card?
Click Enter to see the detailsWhen purchasing a voluntary meal plan or Dining Dollars, funds will be loaded within 24 hours of purchase. Meal plans for campuses with resident students are active on the first day of classes for most students. (If you are on campus early for athletics or other commitments, you can ask your activity leader or reach out to the General Manager).
Can I use my meal plan at another campus if I am visiting or transferred?

Can staff purchase meal plans?
Click Enter to see the detailsYes! We encourage staff and faculty to enjoy the cost savings and convenience of a meal plan. You may purchase a block of meals with a voluntary plan or add Flex Dollars to your card to use at thecafé and when ordering on our dining app, "Everyday."
I have specific eating requirements. I am a vegetarian or vegan, have food sensitivities and/or allergies. Do you have options for me?
Click Enter to see the detailsYes! We have many plant-based menu options, and we add more recipes every semester. Our menus also denote vegan and vegetarian recipes with a V or VG icon.
Communication is the key to addressing food allergies and dietary needs. Prior to or immediately upon arrival to campus, please inform our dietitian, Krista Niezelski so she can advise you on how to navigate the dining hall safely. She provides individual consultations and can create a diet plan that works for you. Also, please inform your servers of any special requirements and don't be afraid to ask questions if you need additional information.
Do I get a refund after withdrawing/graduating?

What can I purchase with the meal plan and the Flex dollars?
Click Enter to see the detailsAll Sodexo dining locations accept "Flex Money" (meal plan dollars). Your meal swipes included in your meal plan are redeemable for meals at our campuses in Augusta or Bangor or any campus in the University of Maine System.
I am a parent, family member or friend of a student. Can I add Cash to a students account?
